Summer in Noosa is a buzz-worthy time, and with a few new players on the social scene around town, Noosa Heads Motel is situated perfectly to offer you an awesome night out on the town. Whether you just want a few quiet beverages under some fairy lights, are ready to get your boogie on or want to progress from one to the other, we have just the place(s) for you to try!
Theo’s Social Club
If you’re after a sophisticated tipple to get you through the afternoon heat, a pre-dinner quaff or just want to have a conversation without shouting over your Negroni, newcomer to the Junction, Theo’s Social Club, is for you. With tables spread out under the shady limbs of the famous Arcadia Walk flame tree and a small bar located inside, this is summertime socialising at its best. There’s a small bites menu with the likes of Toast with prosciutto and grilled peach, white anchovy and cashew cream or black grape, walnut and ricotta, and cheese and charcuterie plates of varying sizes. The cocktails all have a Theo’s twist, like Stay Woke, their answer to an espresso martini, or the Guava King, a refreshing mix of House rum blend, pimento dram, guava and lime. There’s also a well curated wine list and of course, brews for those who like neither grape nor spirit.
Theo’s has that beautiful mix of drinks and nibbles done well, but without the pretention. It’s the perfect relaxed start (or end) to any evening.
Little Sister
Former guests to Noosa Heads Motel will likely know all about the raucously good times to be had at Little Sister, located about 100 metres down the hill. In a wonderful success story for these local lads, they have branched out to more formal digs down on Hastings St, opening Little Sister as a fancified beer garden on the site formerly occupied by the Lagarto Lounge, above the Bay Village food court. The grunge-tiki decor has been given a more sophisticated face lift, but Little Sister on Hastings St still offers the same laid back party vibe and dizzying array of micro-brews and awesome cocktails. There’s also scope for more than just a little toe tapping, with DJ beats on offer and an awesome atmosphere created both inside and out on the deck. It’s clear Little Sister is still where the cool kids hang out!
And don’t worry, Little Sister in the Junction is still around, serving up breakfast and coffees for the morning after until 1.30pm!
